If it worked in the B.I. (before internet) times, than why not now? I have made mini-cards that are similar to business cards but strictly deal with my website and me plus they are 1/2 the width. I have begun leaving the cards in the most random of places, cabs, restaurant checks and payphones have been a good jump off point. I know the internet is all about sharing and suggesting but how did things spread previously, word of mouth.
The card itself is eye catching and should spark enough interest to get the person to the page At that point, I am relying on the word of mouth or for the card to be passed along its journey. I cannot say what I write about is for everyone but this will give people an opprotinity to see if its for them. It’s a really fun experiment and I can check where people are coming from through site analytics. I have readers from Taiwan, Australia, France and Iceland to name a few. Now I just need the cards to do some traveling.
It will be fun to find out if people are willing to look. I know that I jot down and pull up interesting info daily, so why not others.
